Tekcases has tested hundreds of screen protectors, and the USG ITG is the very best one available for the iPhone 5. It is very similar to the Spigen GLAS-t, but is made of even higher quality materials to best protect your precious iPhone 5!!
The USG ITG is made to protect the LCD from damage and scratches with specially processed glass that has been reinforced to increase shock absorbency.
The entire surface of the ITG is transparent and the back side is covered with a strong silicon adhesive for easy installation. When installed, there are no gaps between the LCD and the ITG, which means the touch screen's sensitivity is unaffected.
To prevent any excess force from coming in contact with the edges of the screen protector we highly recommend that a separately purchased case is used with the ITG.
The ITG is 0.5mm thick and made with chemically treated, transparent tempered glass. The surface of the ITG has a hardness of 9H, three times stronger than regular PET film. Even sharp objects such as knives and keys will not scratch the ITG.
The ITG has an oleophobic coating that prevents fingerprints and other contaminants and makes the film easy to clean. And, the glass is coated on the back with a strong silicon adhesive that makes installation easy and attaches the film firmly so as to not affect the touch screen's sensitivity.
Because the glass is tempered, if broken, the ITG breaks into small pieces that are not sharp, making it safer than other glass products.

As this is a glass product, please note that the edges of the glass are the most vulnerable areas. We highly recommend that you use a case along with your ITG to avoid chipping or cracking the edges of your glass protector.
When removing for re-use, the adhesive properties might wear off to an extent where the screen protector will not adhere to the device. It is not recommended to reuse the ITG once it's been applied. Using excessive force when installing or removing the screen protector may damage the product
Question: How do I install the USG ITG?
Answer: Make sure the screen surface of iPhone 5 is completely dry and clean. The tab labeled "Back 2" is the protective film that covers the adhesive (sticky) side of the screen protector. The tab labeled "Front 1" is the protective film that covers the front of the glass. Remove the Back tab and apply the screen protector to the iPhone 5 screen aligning with the cutouts. Squeegee any bubbles and then remove the Front tab when finished. The ITG is a one-shot install. This means that once the screen protector is applied completely to the iPhone, it cannot be removed and reapplied. Make sure the ITG is centered before laying down the glass. The ITG is 0.5 mm thick and will recess the home button. For easy access to the home button, please apply the home button stickers provided with your package.
Question: How do I remove the ITG?
Answer: The ITG can be removed by using a hard card like an ID or credit card. Lift the ITG with the card from any corner of the screen protector. Once the corner has been lifted off the iPhone, hold the corner and remove slowly. If the ITG cracks, it will not shatter. The ITG will not damage or leave residue on your iPhone screen.
Question: What cases will work with the ITG?
Answer: All of our iPhone 5 cases will work with the ITG.
Question: Is there anything I should take caution of when using the ITG?
Answer: The ITG is a product made of glass. While it is tempered to shatter within the film when dropped, there are some things that need to be aware of when using it. As with most glass products, the edges of the ITG are the most vulnerable areas on the screen protector. This means the edges are the most likely to chip or crack when pressure or force is applied to it. If you see that the edges have chipped or have cracks, please remove the ITG from your device as this can be potentially harmful. Please take care that your device is not accessible to children if your ITG begins to crack. We highly recommend that you use a case along with your ITG screen protector to avoid chipping along the edges. Also we would recommend using a case to protect the edges against any unwanted lifting.
